June, July, And August Work Evenings: During the Summer our Work Days turn into Work Evenings, since so many people tend to go away on the weekends. The dates this year are Wednesday evenings starting at 6:30 PM, on June 18th, July 23rd, and August 27th. Some of the tasks that have been proposed are: weeding, possibly painting the outside doors, and changing light bulbs (but we're open to other ideas that people have as well).
May 3rd: We need lots of hands for this Work Day. We will primarily be working on sprucing up the lawn and outside of the church (raking, cleaning gutters, mulching, planting), but we also may focus on doing some cleaning and maintenance inside depending on the number of hands we get. Bring a rake, if you have one, and any other gardening tools. We want the church looking good for the Bishop's visit on May 10th. Pizza and soda will be provided.
April 12th: This work day will be the culmination of the prior work in April (see below), with the actual painting of the "mural" room. A sprayer will be used for the ceiling, and rollers/sprayer on the walls.
April 11th, Evening: This work evening, from 6:30 PM till as late as people can stay, will continue the work started during the previous week, with the hope of having the room completely prepped and taped in anticipation of April's main work day on April 12th.
April 5th: This work day will continue the work started on April 2nd (see below).
April 2nd, Evening: This work evening, from 6:30 PM till as late as people can stay, will be used to start to prep the "mural" room for repainting. Tasks to include cleaning, spackling, spot-priming, and taping.
March 15th: This work day will be used to do tasks around the church to prepare it for Easter. Come and help out!
February 9th: This work day will be used to migrate the Sunday School back down into our new basement space from the Parish Hall. Come one come all, because many hands will surely make light work for this one!
January 12th: To usher in the New Year, this will be a low-key Work Day. Changing light bulbs, putting plastic on the Guild Room windows, and other small tasks will be on the docket.
