St. John's Church is a parish of the Episcopal Church, USA, part of the worldwide Anglican Communion under the leadership of the Most Rev'd. Rowan Williams, Archbishop of Canterbury. The Diocese of Massachusetts, the largest diocese in the American Church, is led by the Rt. Rev'd. M. Thomas Shaw with the assistance of the Rt. Rev'd. Bud Cederholm and the Rt. Rev'd. Gayle E. Harris, Bishops Suffragan.

St. John's is led by the Rev'd. Anne Carroll Fowler, Rector, and is governed by the Wardens and a Vestry comprised of lay members of the parish.
