Music at St. John's is a wonderful experience. The church has incredible acoustics, which carry the sounds of the organ and piano beautifully. Our organist and Music Director, Ken Brooks, is also a parishioner along with his partner; this helps make the musical experience an even more intimate one.
In addition to the organ, St. John's has a dedicated choir. They are in season from Labor Day through the beginning of June, at which point they take a well-deserved summer off.
If you are interested in becoming part of choir, or would like to participate in the Music program in other ways, please contact Ken Brooks, or just show up to Choir practice September through the beginning of June, currently Sundays at 9:30 AM in the church before the Sunday Service.
For those of you that don't consider yourselves exceptionally musically inclined, never fear! Sunday Services themselves offer many opportunities to join together with other parishioners in song, covering pieces from the Hymnal 1982 and the newer Wonder Love & Praise. We look forward to having you join us!
